Honestly, Brad Paisley is a pretty amazing guitarist. If you want to start off with something simpler, go with Taylor Swift. A lot of our beginners play Taylor Swift before anything else. If you can read tablature (tabs or the chords to play songs), that would be easy to find on the internet.

These websites have some decent tablature or tabs on it for Brad Paisley:

To be honest, there really aren’t any lead guitar parts by Brad Paisley which are all that simple to play. However, if you can find the tab his 1999 instrumental, “The Nervous Breakdown,” it can help you build up speed. Just remember to start off playing it slow and, as you get better at playing that opening lick, start speeding it up. Learning that opening lick for “The Nervous Breakdown” seriously helped me out a lot, especially with playing faster.

Anyway, if you want to learn rhythm parts to some of Paisley’s songs, here are a few which use simple chords:

“Come On In” [feat. Buck Owens]
    “Whiskey Lullaby” [feat. Alison Krauss]
    “American Saturday Night”
    “Mud On the Tires”
“The Best Thing That I Had Goin’”
    “Farther Along”
    “She’s Everything”
“Out in the Parkin’ Lot” [feat. Alan Jackson]

For some other great country guitarists to influence you, check out these guys:

    James Burton
    Redd Volkeart
    Steve Wariner
    Jerry Reed
    Chet Atkins
    Brent Mason
    Albert Lee
    Buster B. Jones
    Roy Clark
    John Jorgenson
    Danny Gatton
    Johnny Hiland
Eric Johnson [known for playing rock, but can play country very well too]
John 5 [mainly plays metal, but often throws in a lot of country stuff]

Note that, like Paisley, a lot of the guitarist listed above are able to play more than just country. For instance, most of them are also able to play jazz and a number of them also play rock and blues very well too.
